We could also see the attitude of Chioma's elder siblings towards education. Of course, it's not everyone that will be priviledged to attend school but, as much as you are priviledged, you should make the best use of it. Theirs is true of the Yoruba idiom that says he who has a head does not have a cap to wear on it and he who has a cap does not have a head to wear it on. They had the opportunity to attend the only community primary school in their village and they didn't make the best use of it.

Having had the priviledge to go to school, you must make good use of it. If you are presently in higher institution, you must attend lectures, write notes in class. Don't wait to copy notes from someone. What if the person makes mistakes? Do your assignments, ask questions, from your lecturers or other student, if not cleared. Read books, read wide so as to have more knowledge. It's not everything you'd be taught by your lecturers. Think outside the box; how do I apply these knowledge to real life situations. Go online, get more details. That does not mean you should neglect what your lecturer is teaching you. It is not internet that will mark your papers, your lecturers will be the ones to mark. Be a problem solver. Add value to yourself and to other lives. That is how to make impact.

Don't think you cannot make it. You can do better. Have God by your side. With God, all things are possible. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour because the  things of this world will perish with the world; but while we are still here on Earth, we must make a good difference. Discover yourself early and walk in the righteous path.

These  also apply  to secondary school students. Do your best in everything you are given to do. If you are not priviledged to attend school or to go further in your studies, stealing is not an option. There are many lucrative skills you can acquire. We saw that Chioma's elder brothers and sister acquired some skills even though they could not make proper use of the opportunity of attending school. This teaches us that we should look for better opportunities.

You might have made a mistake before now but, don't let it lead you into crime. Yes, you were caught cheating during the exam and you were expelled from your school. That is not the end of your life. Repent and accept Jesus into your life and trust God for grace to do his will because, he still has good plans for you. He has not forgotten you. God says he knows the thoughts he think towards us, they are thoughts of peace and not of evil to give us a hope and a future. Don't lose hope. Your future is bright in Christ. God never forsake his own. Acquire a skill and be a problem solver. God bless you.
