LIFE LESSONS FROM THE FIRST ARTICLE (4)

LIFE LESSONS DRAWN FROM THE FIRST ARTICLE (4) Good morning everyone. How are you doing? How have you been since last visit? Trust you have been enjoying your read from this blog and you've been greatly blessed. All glory belong to God. I wish to commend you for reading through this far. You are greatly blessed of the Lord. Today, by God's grace, we conclude the lessons drawn from the first article on MaryD's Life Lessons blog. Glory be to God in the Highest. We will be considering Prayer of Thanksgiving. Chioma's heart of thanksgiving was greatly expressed in that she rolled on the floor of her father's house and gave thanks to the Almighty God. Hmmn. That is worthy of note. Our posture while giving thanks matters. It's not like it's everytime we must kneel down or roll on the floor to give God praise, but, it's a matter of the heart. Let out hearts thank God. Let us give praise to God. Let us thank him for all he had done. Let's thank him for the m

James 1:6-8 "6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." Believe that you are talking to a prayer answering Father who loves you and is willing to give you all you desire according to His will. You see, God will only answer according to his will. James 4:2-3 "2Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. 3Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." God will never give you what will kill or harm you just because you asked for it. If any of such "prayers" got answered, the devil is

LIFE LESSONS DRAWN FROM THE FIRST ARTICLE (2) Intercession and supplication are somewhat related. While intercession involves praying to God for others only, supplication can be praying for one's self and/or for others with reasons given to God. Moses' prayer to God for the people of Israel when God wanted to destroy them was a prayer of supplication, giving God reasons why he should not destroy his own people. Some of which included that if God destroys them it will make the Egyptians say that God brought out the children of Israel for mischief in order to destroy them upon the mountains and he also begged God to remember his promises to Abraham, Isaac and Israel. He gave reasons to God. An example of a man who made supplication for himself, is King Hezekiah. 2Kings20:1-3 "1In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live. 2The

LIFE LESSONS DRAWN FROM THE FIRST ARTICLE (1) From this story, we could see Chioma's lifestyle of Prayers. Prayer is a lifestyle. As Christians, we must pray. There have been many beliefs about prayer. Some people believe that if you don't shout loud and roar in prayers, you've not prayed. Of course, there are some times that we go into those realms but it's not all the time. Sometimes, our heart communications to God can be the prayer. When God looks into your heart, he should see that you are praying. However, it's also not all the time that we will speak in our hearts to God without our mouths saying anything. Most times we speak out; because God wants to hear our voices. We are his children, just like a father would want to hear his child call him dad. God wants to hear us talk to him. Prayer is an art that needs to be understood. It is a governing force. It is an attitude. It is a character. It is life. So, how do you live? You live simply by breathing. If a m
