Episode Four - Third Article

 EPISODE FOUR      The first day in class was a mixture of joy and gloom for Mayowa. He was happy because he could sit among brilliant students from different places in the country and he was sad because he has no one to call his family. His parents were no more and his grandmother had recently passed away. However, he braced up and resolved in his mind that he would surely make it.      Days rolled into weeks and weeks to months in his new school. Soon, it was time for first term examination. Mayowa would wake up in the night and read with Emmanuel till daybreak and they would go to the exam hall when it was time. They would never go late to the examination hall. When the results were released, Mayowa topped the whole class. His performance was best in the whole school and this drew the attention of the Principal to him. Who is this new, excellent student?  EPISODE THREE      Mayowa arrived at Lagos by evening. He was welcomed by a Peugeot 504 car with the driver who smiled at him, warmly greeted him and helped him to put his luggages in the boot of the car, after which he opened the back seat door for him to sit at the owner's corner. He responded the greeting of the driver and threw all his weight on the seat as he entered, he was really exhausted from the cry, to the long and rough journey he had from his village to Lagos. He had not eaten anything. The driver handed over bread and butter to him with a bottled water so that he could refresh. No sooner had he finished eating that he slept off and was snoring. Oh no, he couldn't have escaped that. He had really tried.       It was already night when they got to The Crown's Model College, Obanikoro, Lagos. Mayowa was directed to his room and his room's key was given to him. He was told that his roommate would be coming the next day so he would have to stay alone that nigh

Article Three - Episode two

 EPISODE TWO      Mayowa grew up to be a very stubborn boy. Sometimes, he would refuse to go to the farm to get food for himself and his grandmother. He would prefer to play with his mates in the village. They would walk up and down the streets of the village, doing whatever they wish. His grandmother would have to manage to go to farm with the little strength she had in order to get some food items and fetch firewood to be used to cook them. This she did whenever Mayowa refused to go to the farm.      One day, white missionaries came to Eleegun village with the gospel and in the process of time, many souls were won for Christ. The Spirit led them to also take the gospel to Aba-eegun village. It was not too easy over there, but, eventually, souls were being won for Christ gradually. The missionaries founded a school in the village and much efforts were made to convince the villagers to enroll their wards in the school.
