 Episode one

John was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Adeyori. His father was a prince but was not interested in such rulership therefore he allowed his younger brother to continue their family royalty. He was much more interested in business so, he ventured into different lucrative businesses and was very successful in all. Prince Adeyori got married to Adebanke some eight years before John was born and it was a glorious wedding. Families, friends, neighbours, relatives, Well-wishers and even saloon cars were present on the wedding day. Foods and drinks were supplied in abundance; everyone ate to their fill and took packaged foods and drinks home. The Couple's joy knew no bounds after the success of the wedding ceremony because everyone present for the ceremony, got back to their respective destinations successfully including those who travelled in airplanes. They were  very glad they came for the ceremony. After the wedding ceremony, the couple went for a vacation in one of the finest hotels in New York City, America. After the vacation, they returned home to continue their living.

Days rolled into weeks, weeks to months and months to years without any fruit of the womb. The couple began to get distressed and went for several tests that confirmed that nothing was wrong with them that they would have a seed very soon. It was not an easy one for Mrs. Adeyori because she really experienced shame and despair. People mocked her, called her derogatory names and abused her in her absence. Families of Prince Adeyori did not reduce her pains. They increased them by accusing her of bewitching her husband and not bearing any offspring for him. They made her to understand that she could be thrown out of the house if the situation persists. However, in all, Prince Adeyori stood solidly with her. He was her comfort in those times of trouble. He fought hard and resisted the temptation to get married to another wife. He loved her and kept reassuring her that all would be well and that very soon, they would hear the cry of a baby in that house.

It was an undiluted Joy when Mrs. Adeyori got the confirmation of her pregnancy from their doctor and shared the good news with her darling husband. There was life once again in the home. Everything became bright and they were expecting the arrival of the baby. Immediate plans and preparation began. They bought clothes, diapers, toys and many other things that would be needed. Nine months after, Mrs. Adeyori gave birth to a bouncing baby boy and it was a successful normal delivery. Everyone who heard, rejoiced with them and glorified God who had done it. The naming ceremony attracted many people both from far and near and testimonies were shared. The baby was named John, Adetunde Adeyori, among other names.

             To be continued.
