 EPISODE FIVE (CONCLUDING EPISODE)

Mayowa continued to be an excellent student. He was just winning all the awards. He came out as the best student when he graduated and was given scholarship to study Medicine and Surgery at the University of Lagos. His dream had always been for him to become a medical practitioner. On the final day of his departure, Emmanuel wept with him and wished him good success in all his endeavours. He still encouraged him to accept Jesus as Jesus would help him more in the journey of life. Mayowa waved it off as usual and said he was fine without Jesus. Emmanuel had been given admission in University of Ibadan, so, he had to part with Mayowa. He would surely miss his roommate. Such is life, he concluded and entered his father's car with his family waiting to receive him, after such long time. His sisters were so happy to see him. They greeted Mayowa and wished him well and drove off.

Mayowa was waiting for the bus that would take him and others to the University of Lagos. Soon, the bus arrived and they started their journey after loading the bus with their luggages. Mayowa kept thinking about Emmanuel, such a wonderful young man. He had been of great help to him. They shared things in common. He prayed every night. He always put him in prayers. "Mayowa, I'm praying for you", he would say. He couldn't control himself as tears began to flow freely down his cheeks. Would he ever have such a roommate again? He got to The University of Lagos later in the day. He was given his room. His other roommate had resumed earlier before him. He got to learn that he was not a fresh student. He was in 200 level already. He came in the night and his appearance was like an angel in man's uniform. He was fair in complexion and looked charming. He introduced himself as Ade and welcomed him to school. He encouraged him to be serious with his academics so as not to waste his parents' money. That was when Mayowa told him that he didn't have one and he narrated his story to him. He felt sorry for him and told him to sleep. They would continue the next day. To cut the long story short, Ade was a member of Red eye Confraternity. He initiated Mayowa into it in his first year and he could not resist it after much persuasions.

Mayowa started to misbehave. However, he still focused on his academics and he was still topping his class. But, he needed help. He's losing his innocence. He had begin to sleep with some girls on campus. He had been initiated to drinking and very soon, his academics would be affected. Would he ever become all he had been destined to be? He had been turning down the invite of some fellowships on Campus until one day, he decided to step into fellowship for the first time in that campus. He was in his third year then and was popular because of his brilliant performances in his academics. He could not escape God's touch that night. The fellowship started by 6pm with a powerful praise in worship session led by an anointed sister, sister Dorcas. That was when he began to feel somehow, the presence of God was so strong that day. Later on, there was a prayer session and every souls were committed into God's hands. "No one shall leave the same way they came" That was the prayer. The President of the fellowship, bro Olaoluwa soon began the preaching and that was it. The power of God was made manifest, Mayowa came out for the altar call among others and they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues. That night, Mayowa met with the President and confessed to him that he belonged to the famous Red eye Confraternity group and he now believes in Jesus, he does not know how he would come out of all he had put himself into. Now, he believes that there is God.  Special prayers were made for him that night and he was delivered. He slept in the president's room that night. In the middle of the night, the leader of the Red eye Confraternity group suddenly appeared in the room and threatened to kill Mayowa and the President, bro Olaoluwa. The President responded and said that Mayowa now belongs to the Lord. No slave can serve two masters. He commanded him to leave in the name of Jesus and he immediately disappeared. Mayowa was greatly afraid, he confessed all his sins and bro Olaoluwa told him that his sins were forgiven and he prayed for him again. Mayowa received boldness and he cancelled his appointment with the Red eye Confraternity group. He renounced friendship with his one-time roommate, Ade, who initiated him and advised him to also accept Jesus Christ and be free, which he later did. He became more serious with his academics, joined the fellowship fully, became an active member and was committed to evangelism. Later on, he was posted to the hospital for the completion of his studies. Mayowa graduated as an excellent medical practitioner. He got people healed and saved. He got invitations to speak in some programmes, in which he shared his story and won more souls for Christ. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone that God had used to be a blessing to him. With all these, he made his village proud, he brought honour to the white missionaries, his secondary school roommate Emmanuel, the principal, bro Olaoluwa, his late parents and his late grandmother.
