LESSONS FROM ARTICLE TWO

 2) Prayerlessness: James 5:17-18 "Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit."

Even after delay is for an appointed time, we need to understand when its timing is over, in order to avoid prolonged delay. Elijah prayed earnestly that it would not rain and it did not rain on ground for three years and six months. In 1 Kings 18:41, Elijah prophesied about a sound of abundance of rain and to bring it to pass, he went to pray earnestly. 1 Kings 18:42. Prayerlessness prolongs delay but prayer brings it to an end. Hannah went up to Shiloh to pray unto the Lord and made a vow. I Samuel 1:10-11. She had been delayed in Child bearing; the Lord shut up her womb. She prayed unto God to remember her. We need to pray unto God. Are you experiencing any form of delay, pray unto God. Pray unto your Father. Never cease to pray. Don't get tired. Get hope alive and trust God more. Nigeria needs our prayers. The whole world needs our prayers. We must not get tired of praying. Scripture says pray without ceasing.

Daniel 9:2-3. "in the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:" Prayer. Are you facing any delay? The Lord expects you to rise up in prayer and trust God to answer you speedily.

I read in a book where Pastor Kenneth E. Hagin mentioned that he read a statement by John Wesley that "It seems God is limited by our prayer life — that He can do nothing for humanity unless someone asks Him." And Jesus said in Matthew 7:7-8 "Ask, and it shall be given unto you, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened unto you, for anyone who asks receives, he who seeks, finds and he who knocks, the door shall be opened."

Can we pray?

But I'll love to add......talking about this very important topic(prayer),it's not just good to pray, it's better being a PRAYER, when this act is not an event but a life. Moreover When you see something this important ,you live daily to do it in a better way with greater results.....
