LESSONS FROM ARTICLE TWO

 LESSON ONE

From the first episode in article two, we could see how Prince and Mrs Adeyori sought for a fruit of the womb for many years. It was a great moment of trial for them as they faced a lot of abuses, especially Mrs Adeyori. She was abused and called derogatory names. However, on the long run, after eight years of marriage, they gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. Hallelujah! Delay is not denial. That you were delayed in getting a thing or a position does not imply that you won't get it or get there; as long as it is God's will. We must note that as children of God, we should only seek for God's will and nothing else, no matter how peasant that thing may be, if it is not God's will, we should not even desire it, but if it is God's will, we should hold on; if there happens to be a delay. Now, delay happens for some reasons.

1) Appointed timing: Ecclesiastes 3:1 says "To every thing there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven". There is time for everything under heaven. As far as you are on earth, you have an appointed time. Galatians 4:4 "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law" Even Jesus Christ had to wait until the appointed time by God in order to come to this Earth to die for our sins. That was why he didn't come at the time of Abraham, Moses or Elijah and others. He came at the set time. John 9:4 "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work." Jesus Christ was bound by time while on earth. He had to do all he could do within the space of time set for him because he knew he had a time for it. Matthew 26:18 "And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at thy house with my disciples." Jesus knew about timing. We also as believers in Christ, should know about timing. We should know when seasons begin and when they end. We should know what God is doing per time. If we are not yet here, we should cry for grace to get there. To a point whereby God can communicate Spiritual matters to us and commune with us as friend-to-friend. This is who we are meant to be. It's not for some people in Christ, it's for every believer in Christ. Therefore, we must grow Spiritually.

Now, back to timing. If it is not yet time, no matter the pleading, crying, hurt, pain, shame, expectation, etc, it would not happen because God made all things beautiful in his time. Eccl. 3:11. Time had been appointed for all things. At the right time, there will be a manifestation. Examples of women that experienced delay in the Bible are Sarah, Rebekah and Hannah. Their delay was for a purpose. God never does any thing without having an intention or a purpose in mind. God said in Jeremiah 29:11 that "I know the thoughts I think towards you, they are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end" another version says " ...a hope and a future".  Many hardships are faced by women who experience delay in child-bearing. May I speak a word of comfort to you woman that it's for an appointed time. God knows his purpose. God knows what he's doing. The thing is that you should just continue to serve God with purity of heart and not grumble and you'll see God's divine intervention. I was listening to one of Apostle Joshua Selman's messages "Things of the Spirit" in which he talked about a woman that gave birth to triplets after years of waiting on God, and this caught the attention of a wealthy man who was fascinated by the triplets and he pledged to sponsor their education up to university level. You see, that's a wonder. A wonder of God. Had it been the woman had given birth earlier, she and her husband would have been toiling and sweating to take care of their child/children but, as God would have it, he made it easier for them to take care of their children. God is faithful. So, there is an appointed time to everything and it may look like delay in our sight but not with God, for with God, one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as one day. God bless us. Stay tuned to know about other causes of delay. Not all delays are God's will.  Let's see. God bless you. See you next time by God's grace. I love you all.

PONDER: 2 Peter 3:8-9. "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
